CANDLE CARE

BEST PRACTICES

FOR THE OPTIMAL BURN

WICK TRIMMING

_______________________________________________

Trim the wick to 5mm before lighting.
When the wick gets too long it will consume
more wax and your candle won't last as long.

Remove wick trimmings, matches and debris before lighting.

PLACEMENT

_______________________________________________

Always light your candle in a well-ventilated room, away from fans or drafts.

Air draught can cause sooting (black marks on the vessel),
as well as make the candle burn too quickly and unevenly,
making you lose out on precious burn time.

BURN TIME LIMITATION

_______________________________________________

Do not burn your candle for longer than 4 consecutive hours.
(Max. 2 hours for votives/our "petite" sized candles)

Exceeding the recommended burn time limit will result in the vessel becoming hotter and consequently consuming wax more rapidly.

STORE APPROPRIATELY

_______________________________________________

Store away from heat sources and sunlight.

The wax can discolor and melt if stored incorrectly.

REFILL SAFETY

_______________________________________________

Do not burn the candle refill without
an appropriately sized FAVORTY glass vessel.

Discontinue the use of the glass vessel
if there are chips, cracks or defects of any kind.

Make sure the bottom of the refill
is in contact with the bottom of the glass,
twist, readjust and push down the refill if necessary.

Only clean the jar and remove the wick anchor/wax remains
when the glass has cooled down completely.

When switching to a new fragrance,
remove the old safety label from the bottom of the jar
and replace it with the new scent's safety label
(only provided in the refill boxes).

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Keep away from anything that could catch fire.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Stop burning the candle when only 1cm of wax remains at the bottom.

Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Do not burn for longer than 4 consecutive hours.

Trim wick to 5mm.

Keep away from drafts, sun exposure and heat sources.

Allow the candle to solidify before relighting.

Never move or touch a burning candle.

Remove any debris (wick remains, matches etc).

Only use on heat resistant surfaces.

If you notice a flaming wick come close to the vessel wall, extinguish the flame and straighten the wick to its correct position when the wax is molten but not too hot to prevent the vessel from cracking.

ENJOY SAFELY

Ensuring the safety of our creations is of the utmost importance.
We craft every single one with the highest care and extensively test each candle system to secure safe and satisfactory burn characteristics.
Since candles are an open fire source and therefor potentially dangerous if handled improperly, we highly encourage you to follow all of the safety instructions.
